FEDERATION PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOL

Where you can let the performer out!

The Streams

These are the streams that we run at FedPAS - and there’s something for everyone!

Performance This is the class the the child who loves to perform and being centre stage! We explore acting, singing and movement through theatre games, improvisation,   characterisation, script     work, and both solo and ensemble performance. With a focus on developing the student’s self-confidence, imagination and teamwork skills, the student will experience the joys of performing on the stage. The Performance Stream is headed up by professional actor Lizzie Brennan.

Song and Dance Our Song and Dance stream is about developing the student’s skills, confidence and love of singing, as well as skills in choreography and movement. Sessions explore vocal care, pitch, rhythm, tone, microphone technique and breathing, using a variety of styles from musical theatre to rock, and then put it together with dance moves! Students will learn how to develop a performance to sing solo as well as in a larger group. The Song and Dance stream is lead by professional singer and performer, Hayley Stone.

Film And Tech Our  film stream encourages students to explore their creativity through film. Students will learn some of the basic techniques of film including types of shots, angles, zooming, panning, maintaining focus, lighting, sound and editing. The goal will be to create their own short film which they will script and direct themselves, and then show at our annual showcase evening. Students also explore various aspects of backstage craft and assist with the Showcase. Film and Tech is lead by FedPAS’ creative director, Drew Lane.

Double Stream Option If you're really keen to get the most of FedPAS, you could do TWO streams! You can choose from the following combinations:
